What is the Knothön™ Nest?
The Knothön™ Nest is a handcrafted baby nest designed to offer a cocooning, supportive environment for supervised rest. Each piece is made in Spain using premium, breathable, and certified-safe materials.
What makes Knothön™ different from other baby nests?
Knothön™ nests are individually handcrafted in Barcelona using European-certified materials, a firm multi-layer mattress system, a hand-woven protective barrier, and a detachable braided bumper. Production is intentionally limited to preserve quality, craftsmanship, and exclusivity.
Where is the Knothön™ Nest made?
Every Knothön™ Nest is handcrafted in Barcelona, Spain, by experienced ateliers specializing in newborn textile manufacturing.
Is the Knothön™ Nest safe for my baby?
The Knothön™ Nest is designed in compliance with European Union regulations and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class certification. All materials are breathable, hypoallergenic, and free from harmful substances. Adult supervision is required at all times during use.
Can my baby sleep overnight in the nest?
The Knothön™ Nest is intended for supervised rest and lounging. It should not replace a certified crib or bassinet for unsupervised or overnight sleep.
Where should the nest be placed?
Always place the nest on a flat, stable surface. Do not use on raised, soft, or elevated surfaces such as beds, sofas, or couches.
Can I move the nest while my baby is inside?
No. The nest should never be moved while a baby is inside.
What materials are used in the mattress?
The mattress base is made from a flexible polyether foam slab (Density 30) with a firm, no-memory structure. The removable cover is composed of six fabric layers, including upholstery fabric, Boatherm Soft padding, and thermoregulating bamboo fabric or 100% cotton.
What is the braided bumper made from?
The braided bumper is crafted from a single seamless, cotton-filled tube woven into a four-strand braid. It is designed for durability, breathability, and reduced exposed stitching.
Is the braided bumper detachable?
Yes. The braided bumper is fully detachable and may also be used in a baby crib as a crib bumper.
Are the materials organic or certified?
All textiles are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class certified, ensuring they are free from harmful substances and safe for newborn use.
How do I clean the Knothön™ Nest?
Most textile components can be washed in cold water. The flexible foam mattress core and fastening straps with the wooden clasp should not be washed. Detailed care instructions are provided with each Nest.
Can I wash the braided bumper?
Yes. The braided bumper should be washed inside a laundry bag to protect its structure and finishing.
Is the mattress insert washable?
No. The mattress insert and core should not be washed, as this may compromise its structure.
How does delivery work?
A dedicated Knothön™ concierge will be in touch after purchase to coordinate delivery of your bespoke piece within the UAE.
Is Knothön™ available year-round?
Knothön™ pieces are hand-made and produced in limited quantities. Availability may vary by season.

Do you accept returns?
